EDI Survey
	In order to highlight trends in the use of EDI we carry out a regular survey of current use of EDI by our members. Surveys prior to 2005 only covered personal motor and household business. Subsequent surveys also cover Motor - Light Goods and Motorcycle. The figures are split into new business, full cycle and confirmed renewals by business software vendor. The survey also shows the percentage of new business for each class of business transacted via EDI by each insurer. Before 2005 the survey was conducted twice a year but the ETPG decided that future surveys would only be conducted and published annually. The latest collection was undertaken in the second quarter of 2008 and covers EDI transactions between 1 January and 31 December 2007.
